On a personal note from the owner of Cutsmart, understanding the value is an important aspect of owning a battery machine.  Whilst the purchase cost includes the machine and fuel, it is important to break this down and understand where the cost lies.  Approximately 70k (incl VAT) of the cost is in the machine, which compares to other known petrol name brands.  So for machine to machine, you are paying approximately the same as a petrol machine. 

The difference is in the batteries, this presupposes your fuel purchase and servicing in advance.  That means costed over the next 10 years, you are paying a little more than R500/month if you are charging your batteries on solar.  That price is locked in now irrespective of fuel price increases, Rand/Dollar fluctuations or the likes.
