About Cutsmart

Cutsmart was founded in 2014 by Delroy and Chantalle Hodson, with our first store opening in Ballito, KwaZulu-Natal.

From the beginning, our goal has been simple: to provide our customers with the right outdoor power equipment, spare parts, advice and after-sales support — backed by people who understand the products we sell.

Over the years, Cutsmart has grown from a local garden and forestry equipment store into a business serving customers throughout South Africa, both through our physical stores and online at Cutsmart.co.za.

We supply equipment, parts and accessories for homeowners, contractors and professional users across the garden, forestry and outdoor power equipment industries. We believe that selling the machine is only the beginning. Being able to help our customers with parts, servicing, repairs and knowledgeable support throughout the life of that machine is just as important.

We are also passionate about the future of battery-powered equipment. As battery technology has developed, it has become a genuine alternative to traditional petrol equipment across an ever-growing range of applications. In 2023, we opened our battery-focused concept store in Hilton, KZN, allowing customers to experience this technology first-hand.

A major focus at Cutsmart is bringing our in-store and online businesses together. Whether you visit one of our stores or shop with us online, our aim is to provide the same product knowledge, support and access to our growing range of machines and spare parts.

We remain a hands-on, family-run business supported by a great team of people who share our commitment to looking after our customers.
